Inspired by Erwin Wurm, the students made their own one-minute sculptures! We had colorful lights, props, and prompts, then they used their creativity to come up with more ideas. There were lots of group sculptures and solo sculptures, so the entire classroom was filled with them. I was blown away by their creativity- they had far more ideas than I thought they would! I wanted to open their eyes to what art can be and help get them excited for the semester, and this was such a fun way to do so.
