Art in the Revolutionary War

This semester I get to work with fifth graders, which is so much fun! They are learning about the Revolutionary War right now, so we talked about how culture and art are intertwined. We learned about famous artworks from the Revolutionary War and how that affected the nation, then talked about what our nation is like today. Then they created paintings showing current American culture. It was interesting to talk about social norms we have that other countries don't!
